The determination of “Dodge vom Eichertland” has put the hand on the robber of a fast food Lucerne.
A police dog tracked a burglar more than 5 kilometers during the night from Saturday to Sunday. “Dodge vom Eichertland”, his little name, allowed the arrest of the thief an hour later, said police Lucerne.
The man pointed a fast food restaurant in Willisau (LU) shortly after midnight, threatening the owner with a pocket knife. He then fled with a loot of 2,000 Swiss francs (just over 1,750 euros). The dog followed the trail of the thug, which allowed a police patrol to spot the fugitive about 5 kilometers away from his misdeed.
The alleged thief, a 38-year-old Iraqi, was arrested. The agents found on him a knife corresponding to the report and the money stolen.
